The BUNCO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP is 2 weeks way and I FINALLY decided that I'm going!

My darling husband bought me the plane ticket to go!

After being there last year I knew I would be TOTALLY bummed if I wasn't there this year. He probably didn't want to hear me whine for 3 days if I wasn't in Vegas!

2 of my Bunco group friends are going too! It will be so much fun!

This year I hope to WIN IT ALL!

Last year I tied for 1st place in the costume contest and this year I'm setting my sites on the prize! We are playing in the Celebrity Bunco Heat and you will just have to wait and see what my costume will be!

LET'S GO BUNCO!

I was in Las Veags last week. I hope to get there again for the World Bunco Championship!

We had SO MUCH fun last year. If I can't be there this year I will totally miss it so much.

I'll be sad and jealous of all those there having the fun.

I'm registered and now it's just a question of finances. I need to get the money for the flight to LV!

Last year I went with my mom, my cousin and her mom. Were two mother daughter pairs. What a great event to share together. I really hope we can make it again.

do-da-do...nothing to say, but the "wizard" wanted me to blog again!

Ok, in the last year I've become know for being OVER THE TOP in the world of BUNCO so if anyone finds out that I have a BUNCO BLOG they will think I'm crazy!

But, who cares!

I started playing BUNCO 2 years ago with a group of stay at home moms. It has been a fun night out once a month. I'm one of the regular 12 so I host one time a month and the other 11 I just show up, pay my $5 and play BUNCO!

This month I have subbed for 2 other groups in town. Every group plays so different. It's fun to learn.

The end of April I flew out to Las Vegas (I live in MN) and played in the World Championship. My cousin Ellie and her daughter, my cousin Beth flew out too. My mom was already there visiting my brother. All 4 of us played (Greg would not! :)) and we had a BLAST!

The theme of our heat was Star Spangled Bunco. I knew right away what I would do. I love all things realated to New York so this was my chance to be The Statue of Liberty. In place of the torce I made a dice torch using a flash light and take out chinese box. My crown was also adorned with dice. I made a dice that lite up and and Miss Liberty's tablet was a Bunco score sheet of course. It was so much fun.

I was called up as one of two winners for best cosutme for our heat. Me and Wonder Woman. Ok, so she has the body for it and the costume was rental shop exactly, but I didn't see a dice on her. (oops...sounding bitter, sorry). Anyway, we had to have a roll off. Wonder Woman won! And she got the prize (a Proiloc jacket). So, I still say I won. Because I did. I tied for first place, but she got the prize! Check out the photos to see my winning costume!

Mom, Ellie, Beth and I had a great time playing, but didn't win our heat to move on. We were hoping to be lucky and have our name randomly drawn for a spot. We returned for day 2 of the competition. We watched the semi finals. 11 people advanced to the final 12. That left one spot. A name was drawn. BETH. It's was my cousin BETH! Oh my goodness.

Beth played in the final 12. The Most Wins and the Most Buncos advanced to the final 4. That left 2 spots. They chose one spot from the remaining 10 players that did not advance from the final 12. BETH. yes, that's right people BETH was chosen by random draw for a second time to play in the final 4. Mom, Ellie and I hoped our name would be drawn for the one remaining seat. It was not. So we could give our full attention to Beth.

A BUNCO of 3 one's would win the tournament, the crown, and the check for $50,000. I swear that each player rolled 25 times! Beth came so close by rolling 2 ones and but not a third. And then Stephanie rolled the BUNCO and won it all. Beth, and the other 3 walked away with nothing but the memory.

It was fun. Las Vegas is a great location for gaming fun.
