My Dear, Dear Friends, I just wanted to let you know that although I have not been on here much in quite a while, all of you have been very much in my thoughts and in my heart. Circumstances have kept me away but I will try very hard not to let that happen again. You are all very dear to me. I miss all the wonderful times we have had together. I recently pulled up an old paper I wrote several years. It describes a special place that I go in my mind whenever I need to rejuvinate. I Decided to share that place with all of you and hope it brings you some of the peace it does me in these trying times. I hope you enjoy it. My Special Place The earth is cool beneath my body and the sweet grasses cushion me as I lie here dreaming beneath the deepest blue sky. The air plays with gentle fingers that ruffle through my hair and caresses by body with teasing fingers. Birds and crickets serenade me with sweet songs and water provides a delightful orchestra. The sun smiles down upon me with warm approval and kisses my face with delightful sweetness. With a gentle sigh, I open my eyes and sit up to survey my domain. Tall trees with their majestic limbs populate my valley and endlessly whisper bits of wisdom and peace. Grand imposing mountains rise like giant silent, imposing sententials all around my secret valley and guard it from all who would invade it uninvited. From my perch upon the hillside I see the tiny lake below with its waterfall of diamond drops that mist the air above the deepest depths of the waters. Crystal clear but still, hiding secrets of which one can but guess and dream. What contrast here! The blue and the black of the water, the diamond brightness of the waterfall and the thick richness of the carpet of grass that cushions the ground from harshness and the sweetness of the delicate wild flowers that perfume the air and delight the eye. The mountain guard or imprison depending upon the mood but are ever grim until the setting sun kisses them good night with blazes of indescribable color. And the endless sky, with the majestic hawk that soars and glides endlessly in its freedom from earths gravity. I look around me and feel the peace settle gently upon my soul like a warm blanket on a cold winter night. I look up and my heart soars with the great hawk as he endlessly rides the invisible currents of air. My heart fills with longing to join him in his endless flight. While I watch I dream and slowly my eyes close and set my soul to soar high above my secret valley. I spread my arms and drift and soar with only the hawk as my companion as he shares his domain with me. Upward and down in dizzying spirals as the currents lift us and then playfully drop us. A feeling enters my soul of such exhilaration that it is almost painful, almost ecstasy. Ah, but the time passes and the call of life pulls me back earthward, back to the reality of everyday. It is with sadness and with a sense of renewal that I return. I am at peace though and a secret smile rests upon my lips for I have a secret and the knowledge that this is my place and none can come here or invade my valley unless I invite them. Always it waits for me and always it welcomes me whenever I find the need for me. It rest within my heart and mind and is the expression of my soul. This hidden valley, this delightful place is my secret and belongs to only me. Ah, but my friend, you are welcome here whenever you need what is here. You may change it to suit you, but do not worry I can always make it mine again with just a thought. So come whenever you are burdened or hurting as often as you like. For you, my friend, are as special as this valley and as necessary to me as it is. Priscilla Schooley

My Dear Family and Friends, I hope everyone is doing great. I just had to tell you all that I am proud of you all and how well tourney is going. Yes there have been some problems and those need to be eliminated but we are friends, all of us, and we still have fun. That is the whole purpose. I am honored to be able to have all of you for friends and for family. I know we all love the friendly competition no matter who is winning. Course I know it is more fun to be ahead but, hey! just remember the fun parts as well. I also wanted to wish all of you family, friends and visitors a wonderful day full of love that overflows your heart, laughter enough to make your sides hurt or you pee your pants (which ever comes first), tears of joy to flow from your eyes, tremendous friends (I have this part covered) with whom to share it all, and more blessings than you can count. This year hold a lot of promise for me and my family. We hope, by the end of the year, to be moved to the country. Oh!how I a looking forward to that. We plan to make our farm/ranch as self-suffecient as possible. I have missed being in the country but my health made it impractical to be too far away from medical attention. Now with it so much improved we are set to fullfill that dream. My three children and my husband plan to build homes on the land and make it a joint venture. I cannot wait until some of us can plan a hugh get-together so that we can finally meet each other face to face. I have such wonderful friends that I have met here to whom I feel as close as any of my friend that I have met and known for years. Oh, well I guess I have known some of you for quite some time. I have new friends that are like a spot of sunshine in my heart. They come in all ages, locations and with many diverse interest. How Lucky can a person get. How can I even begin to name them all. There is my sis and twin. You are so special to me. Tipsy, you brighten my life and fill it with laughter, Jen, I find more each day to show me just how precious is your friendship, Toots, ahhhh you are such a special young woman. Soft, we share our love of writing and so much more. Oh I keep thinking I will say something to all of you that are so special to me but there is just not room. Some of you have sons and daughter serving in our military. They have my prayers, my respect and my gratitude. Others are gallantly battling life threating disease or have family members who are in danger. You too have my prayers. There are others like bguy and letsplay that have enriched my life so very much with your friendship. Still I just don't know how to tell all of you how special you are to me. To All My Friends, You know, every year at this time I count my blessings. This year I found that I have so many more to count. How could I have ever envisioned that I my life so enriched by so many new and wonderful friends. I have laughed more and cried some too with you all. We have formed a wonderful and delightful family. I truely am a very very lucky person. How many people can say that they have a wonderful family and a whole world full of very special friends. My Dear Friends, I always look at the new year not as a time to make changes in my life which I kind of like now, but as a time of renewal. I reflect on the year that has just ended and anticipate the one just starting. When I look back, I find that I have so much to be for which to be thankful. I have my health, a wonderful family, a loving very dear husband, a home and warmth and enough food. So I am blessed. I also have such wonderful friends and I don't know what I have done to deserve them and the enrichment they have added to my life. When I look forward, I don't know what will happen but I know that there are many blessings waiting for me. Yes there will be some trials and heartache but that is life. One of my fondest hopes is that I will continue to be blessed with such warm, loving, fun and teriffic friends. You all enrich my life each and every day. I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
